The London Inflammation Network brings together the large community of scientists working on inflammation, a process central to a variety of major physio-pathological conditions. This is a great opportunity for junior investigators to present their work and for networking.

    13 March 2017

On March 13th we hosted once again the London Inflammation Network, the 4th meeting of this series.

Considering the success of the previous meetings, this time we had a bigger venue and hosted about 140 attendees from many of the Institutes in London and beyond. We were delighted that Jeff Rathmell (Vanderbilt University, US) and Ilaria Malanchi (The Francis Crick Institute, UK) accepted our invite to speak about their latest findings. Four young investigators selected from the submitted abstracts (Stefania Martin, Queen Mary University of London – awarded best oral; Steve Wagner, The Institute of Cancer Research; Annika Warnatsch, The Francis Crick Institute; Maria Gonzalez Nunez, Queen Mary University of London) also gave fantastic talks.

In the evening, the drinks reception was warmly filled with chats and scientific discussion around posters and the great day of science we just had.

The London Inflammation Network will return in the fall of 2017 (TBA). Please register as soon as possible, upon the launch of the next meeting if you are interested in attending (deadline for abstract submission TBA on the website). Once more the best short talk and poster will receive a price thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.

    7 October 2016

On the 7th of October the third meeting of the London Inflammation Network took place.

We hosted talks from Manuel Mayr (King’s College London), Pascal Meier (Institute of Cancer Research), Henning Walczak (University College London) and two young investigators selected from the submitted abstracts (Sara Trabulo, Queen Mary University of London – awarded best oral; Satdip Kaur, St. George’s University of London).

Once again at the end of the meeting the drinks reception was warmly filled with chats and scientific discussions around the poster presented.

The London Inflammation Network will resume in 2017 on the 13th of March with confirmed guest speakers Jeff Rathmell (Vanderbilt University) and Ilaria Malanchi (Crick Institute). Registration will open in January and space will be available for up to 200 attendees. If you are interested in attending, please register as soon as possible (deadline for abstract submission TBA on the website). Once more the best short talk will receive a price thanks to the generosity of our sponsors Dharmacon, Inc., BioLegend and Seahorse.

At the end of the meeting the drinks reception was warmly filled with chats and scientific discussions around the poster presented.

The 3rd meeting will be held on October 7th with confirmed guest speakers being Henning Walczak (UCL) and Manuel Mayr (KCL). Registration will open on August 20th and spaces will be limited to 120 places. 08 Jan 2016

On the 8th of January the first event of the London Inflammation Network (LIN) took place.

We had an exciting schedule that attracted more than 120 attendees from everywhere in England and Scotland, with talks from Mauro Perretti (QMUL) and Luke O’Neill (Trinity College Dublin) and four outstanding short talks selected form abstracts.

At the end of the meeting our seminar room was buzzing with people discussing science around the 20 posters presented and with the speakers of the day.

We now look forward to see you all at the 2nd meeting that will be held on May 20th. Registration will open on March 1st and spaces will be limited, so if you are interested please register as soon as possible (deadline for abstract submission April 15th).
